Spring in the Wenatchee Valley

There's just something magical about spring in the Wenatchee Valley. After a winter of crisp mornings and snow-dusted hills, the valley practically bursts back to life once the temperatures start to climb. If you've never experienced a Wenatchee spring, you're seriously missing out.

The weather here in spring is absolutely dreamy. March can still have a little bite to it, but by April and May, the sun is shining most days and the air feels just right — not too hot, not too cold. Average temperatures range from the mid-50s in March, climbing into the 60s and even low 70s by May. And with over 300 days of sunshine a year, you can count on plenty of bright, blue-sky days to get outside and soak it all in.

One of my favorite parts of spring? Watching the Wenatchee Valley blossom — literally. We're not called the "Apple Capital of the World" for nothing! The orchards that blanket the valley floor explode into soft pink and white flowers, making for some seriously stunning views. Everywhere you look, it's like Mother Nature decided to show off a little bit.

And speaking of showing off, you can't talk about spring in Wenatchee without mentioning the Apple Blossom Festival. It's a tradition that's been going strong since 1919, and honestly, it's one of the best times to be in town. There's a whole lineup of parades, a food fair (hello, elephant ears and curly fries!), a classic car show, live music, a carnival, and so much more. The whole community comes together to celebrate, and the energy is infectious. If you're planning a trip, time it around late April to early May — you won't regret it.

Spring in Wenatchee is the perfect blend of outdoor adventure, small-town charm, and good old-fashioned fun. Whether you're hiking the trails, biking the Apple Capital Loop Trail, grabbing a patio seat downtown, or just cruising through the blooming orchards, there's no better place to shake off the winter blues.

If you haven't made a spring visit part of your plans yet, what are you waiting for? Come see the Wenatchee Valley in all its springtime glory — you might just fall in love with it like the rest of us have.
